Vintage Swag Bag!

Check out the hot vintage 1970's metallic clutch bag I got for the formal on Friday night!

I'll post a picture of my dress and overall outfit on Friday before I go XxXX

Oh What A Night!

LaLa and I went out last night - there was meant to be more of us but C couldn't come as she was meant to be meeting someone, who I later found out had stood her up; and Li had a hot date with her mysterious 'boyfriend'. We had our usual dinner followed by drinks and pool in the pub. The England match hadn't long finished so it was not surprising that we walked into a sea of red and white cladded drunken football wallies. We were happily playing pool - LaLa is definately getting better though she doesnt feel that she is - when some mostly drunk lads came over. One challenged me to a game of pool, which I happily accepted though lost (only just though) whilst LaLa played doubles with the others. Couple of the lads were extremely pissed, one was fighting with his girlfriend (though he did keep whispering that they were not together and he thought I was hot - tell me something I dont know!) who later was put into place by a couple of bouncers and his quite sober mates, N. We spent the rest of the evening having a laugh and chatting, and were both tucked up in bed (not together!) by about half 10. Early for some, but I had to be at work at 9am this morning!
We both had a great evening and got some much needed practice in. Cannot wait for next Sunday to see what other antics we get up to. I'll keep you posted my lovelies XXXXXxX

Bags Of Swag!

Thursday and Friday cheered me up as I went shopping! Yay! Decided I needed to treat myself for all my hardwork recently. So what did I buy? Well, lets see:
- Long line t-shirts in baby yellow, candy pink, white and black
- Green and lime striped vest top
- Soft touch vest tops in cherry red and black
- 'Rock Queen' T-shirt in grey-marl
- White t-shirt with 'I love surfer boys' slogan
- White quilted envelope bag with shoulder strap
- Black quilted foldover bag with wrist strap
- Bright red quilted handbag
- Hot pink patent killer heels with black piping
- Black patent killer heels with white piping - now nicknamed my 'Elvira' shoes!
- Black skull scarf
And I think thats it! Might go shopping again tomorrow! Thats the life! I don't have to work till saturday night so I'm definately going to relax and treat myself.

Workin' It!

I cannot wait for this week to be over! I feel like i'm working constantly these days but can't complain as it means money in my purse to go and buy shoes! (Thats a point! I still have to find my shoes to go with my dress for next friday! I'm thinking silver!). This week I am working more than I ever have and its getting me pretty beat! Nevermind, there is tons of time to catch up on much needed beauty sleep next week!
So what else have I been up to? Well, last wednesday I spent nearly 4 hours in accident and emergency with La who had decided to smash her finger to pieces trying to eliminate a spider (sadly, it won!). Luckily she only fractured it, and though it is varying shades of blue, green and purple, its not that bad. She will recover in a couple more weeks and her follow-up is tomorrow, so back up to the hospital I go! But the afternoon will be spent doing some much needed retail therapy and if I don't come back with shoes for next friday I will scream!
The Sunday Dinner group was reduced to only two of us this week as it was Fathers Day here in the UK but La and I had a great time. We had a fabulous dinner then hit the pool tables for a few practice games before we face Li and C next sunday! We do not need to be ripped apart again! Drinks were consumed and a merry time was had by all!
Working like a bad ass hasn't killed my need to read, as I have finished Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt (I know its just a kids book but I saw the film recently with the chick from the Gilmore Girls in, and it was brilliant, so had to follow up with the book), Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (just got round to reading the book that I queued up for when it came out last year and could not put it down from start to finish. It was bloody brilliant and it took me just 3 days to read - not long when you consider I was working and travelling for about 8 hours of the day!) and just the other day I finished Seven Ancient Wonders by Matthew Reilly (the latest book by one of my favorite writers is definately one you should not miss and possibly the best he's even written. Full of beautiful imagery, fast-paced action and steeped in thousands of years of history, this was a truly magnificant book). I'm currently flitting between reads, as I'm not sure what is calling to me yet!
Speaking of literature of the finest quality, just lent La 'The Notebook' by Nicholas Sparks. So far she's loving it and when I see her tomorrow I hope that she has finished it and loves it as much as I did. Now all she's got to do is watch the film!
I'm having a bit of a lazy day today as I don't start work til late coz i'm doing the late tonight. Just going to relax and pamper myself I think. Hopefully next tuesday a small group of us fabulous people will be hitting the beach again for sun, sea, gossip and fine dining. Can't wait!
Well I'm going to get ready for work later, hope y'all are having a fabulous day!
Luv Me XXxXxx

Back To My Roots!

Hey Y'all!
Decided to ditch the ginger-blonde locks added only 2 months ago for a very natural auburn! Had to return to my roots as I have a formal event next friday and the brown hair goes with the dress better. So, What do y'all think? XxxXx

Oh, I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside!

Ah, Friday was probably one of the best days for a little while. The sun was shining brightly, the sky was blue and cloudless and clothing layers were few! To celebrate such a brilliant day Li and I decided to take a much needed break away to the beach. After a somewhat rushed start (got to the station to find the train was 10 minutes late, leaving just 4 minutes to get to the next train - which was 2 minutes late, luckily!), we finally arrived at the beach.
We hit the beach decked out in my smallest denim hotpants and black string bikini top to take in rays, only to find that when flip flops were removed to find a suitable spot our feet were actually melting in the burning sand. Settling down to the sea's love lullabye, the cry of seagulls and the continual banter from a truckload of German school kids who insisted on throwing a frisbee at us (once it actually hit me in back, so swearing ensued which they most probably did not understand - possibly a good thing for them!), I lotioned up and settled back to read Glamour and InStyle!
We both managed to get a bit sunburned - though Li only seemed to burn the side of one leg! - and treated ourselves to the British Classic - fresh caught fish and chips! Very Bloody Nice!
We will definately be repeating this fabulous day in the near future when these bloody storms let up! Hastings next, I think!
Well, I'm off to work (no rest for the wicked!) and to book my hair appointment (a color change is imminent I think!).

I'm Back With Vengence!

Hello all my lovely people! Firstly I want to apologize profusely for not updating for a little, well quite a while! I have been totally wrapped in my exams and the subsequent revision. Now its over! Yay! Dont have to worry about anything until the September! Yay!
So I guess y'all want to know the gossip and going ons. Well, where shall I start?! In no particular order, this is whats been going on.
I met La's friends for the first time Friday past, they are all male which is quite strange for a girl, but she loves it. They all seem pretty cool and some were more talkative than others. Though T should really not be subscribing to the man cardigan - something usually reserved for the over 70's rather than the young lads of today. Also met D, the guy that she has been totally pashing on for ever. He's not too bad, but not my type, but i suppose thats a good thing on her part! However, I think she can do way better! She is so fucking stunning!
What else have been up to apart from consuming copious amounts of alcohol?! Well, was chatted up by the barman in my local pub, he's cute but so not interested (for obvious reasons). Yeah he's cute and gives me cheap drinks but L already has me!
A group of friends of mine have started up a Sunday dinner thing. Every Sunday we meet for dinner somewhere. We've only had 3 dinners so far but I can see this as a great regular thing for us all to get together gossip more than we already do, consume even more alcohol and then play pool into the late hours. Although mine and La's pool playing skills are somewhat lacking compared to C's and Li's because they beat us 6-2 in doubles! Lame, I hear you cry, but thats the way it goes! We'll get them next week!
What about the couples? Well, K and A are still together after about 3 months though they havent slept together yet. Very Sweet! Marshmallow and his girlfriend broke up after what was a little bit of a rickety patch, he seems happier now that he can play the field and sow his wild rock star oats like his brother! N and R are still together, but if they broke up the world would probably end!
It hasnt all been good news though. E has left us and moved up to Derby and T and D lost the baby - she went for her first scan and found it was stillborn. Such a shame, but it shows that some things are just not meant to be! It has hit them hard but theyre strong and will definately pull through. Best wishes to both.
Though I've been distracted by exams and what not, i've still found time to read a little. I have read the following:
-True believer - Nicholas Sparks
- Ghost Ride - Stephen Thraves
- The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nightime - Mark Haddon
- The Boy with the Dancing Eyes - Sophie Dahl
- The World According to - Jeremy Clarkson
- The Undomestic Goddess - Sophie Kinsella
- Nights in Rodanthe - Nicholas Sparks
- The Storm Watcher - Graham Joyce
Yesturday I spent the afternoon reading in the garden and got a bit sunburnt - across my shoulders and chest, shins and thighs. Not too lobsterfied, as its now tanning off, ready for a new layer to go on this Friday when Li and I head to beach for some rest and relaxation! Its going to be a lovely day so think its much deserved as we've both worked hard recently.
What else? Erm? Can't remember! If I remember anything else I'll just add it at the end somewhere later.
Hope y'all are still fabulous
Love Me
